Production Manager

Jayne joined 1A Productions in May 2018, following a successful career in BBC Scotland Radio and TV Production, and over 10 years’ as a freelance filmmaker/scriptwriter/tutor.

At the BBC, Jayne was as a researcher/producer/local radio presenter for Radio Scotland for 10 years, before moving into Television where she worked across a number of genres including Comedy & Entertainment, Gaelic, Religion, and Children’s TV. Latterly Jayne was an Assistant Producer, Scriptwriter, Script Editor and Researcher on large-scale, live, TV events such as ‘Children In Need’, ‘The Saturday Show’, ‘Top of the Pops’, and many CBeebies shows such as Scottish-BAFTA winning series, ‘Nina & The Neurons’.

For the past decade, Jayne has been freelancing as a producer/director of films for Alzheimer’s Scotland and Foster Care Associates, as well as a scriptwriter/script Editor for many BBC Children’s programmes, and a stint as Script Editor on BBC’s ‘River City’, the much-loved Scottish Soap Opera.

Throughout this period, she also enjoyed making social history documentaries and teaching filmmaking to all generations at Plantation Productions Community Media charity in Govan, and being a Course Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Coincidentally living in the same small Scottish village as Norman Stone for the past 28 years, their paths finally crossed in 2018, since then Jayne has been happily production managing The Final Fix Documentary, as well as the myriad of creative thoughts and projects that Norman juggles on a daily basis!
